Right after a regatta ended at Erie Basin Marina, I caught this sailboat drifting gently as the sun prepared to set. The sky glowed with an intense amber light, a rare, fiery sunset caused by the wildfires far to the west. Against that amber backdrop, the crisp white sails stood out dramatically, casting long, soft shadows on the shimmering water. The peaceful movement of the boat and the calm water felt like a quiet moment of reflection after the excitement of the race.
